Our training program consists of nine levels based on international level definitions. In your first lesson, your instructor determines your level together with you, and the slope you practice on and the techniques you work on are chosen accordingly.
| Stage | Level | Techniques | Slope | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner Level 1 | 1 | Walking, straight gliding, snowplow | Training slope | You are putting on skis for the first time. We call you beginners. You may feel a little nervous, but you are determined to learn. Our instructors, trained in the latest teaching methods, will get you started and help you learn this fun sport properly and in no time. |
| Novice Levels 2–3 | 2 | Snowplow turns | Green slope | You have tried skiing before but haven’t had much chance to progress. You know how to ski, but you don’t yet have the know-how or the confidence to head higher up the mountain. You want to learn more and explore the slopes up top. You need to learn snowplow turns; we will prepare you for the upper slopes on our easy training slope. |
| 3 | Snowplow slalom | Blue slope | On easy (green) slopes you can stop with a snowplow and make small changes of direction, but you can’t yet make controlled, sharp turns. It’s time to improve your turns and link them together. In this lesson you will also learn to use the lifts safely on your own. | |
| Intermediate Levels 4–6 | 4 | Basic turn | Blue and red slopes | On easy (blue) slopes you can easily make snowplow stops and linked turns, and you feel confident in your turns. Now it’s time to control your speed using the edges of your skis. Your skis now end each turn parallel; this level is the turning point in your skiing. |
| 5 | Basic parallel | Red slope | You can make basic turns easily and ski blue slopes without difficulty. It’s time to refine your basic turn and get ready for parallel skiing; to do that, you will learn the basic (open) parallel. In this lesson we work on red slopes. | |
| 6 | Parallel technique | Red slope | Easy slopes were just the beginning for you; now it’s time to branch out. Longer slopes, a bit more speed and an extra pinch of fun. Now it’s time to bring your skis together and ski parallel. | |
| Advanced Levels 7–9 | 7 | Short parallel technique | Red and black slopes | Narrow, steep slopes are waiting for you, and to take them on you need to learn the short parallel turn. An elegant technique, controlled power. |
| 8 | Mogul technique, deep-snow technique | Black slope | Narrow, steep slopes no longer challenge you. It’s time to go off-piste; this will be a revolution in your skiing. | |
| 9 | Carving, racing techniques | Black slope | You are about to discover the magic of skiing. Welcome to technical discipline: carving, where high speed and control come together on and off the piste. |
If you are not sure of your level, select the “I’m not sure” option on the booking request form, and your instructor will determine your level in your first lesson.
