When planning lessons, the first choice you’ll face is between a private lesson and a group lesson. Both have their own advantages; the right choice depends on your goals, your level and who you want to ski with.
Private lessons (1–4 people)
The instructor focuses only on you, or on you and the family members or friends taking the lesson with you.
- The pace of learning is set entirely around you.
- Your mistakes are spotted and corrected right away, so progress is usually faster.
- Lesson times and lengths are flexible.
- For families and groups of 2–4 friends at the same level, it’s both fun and efficient.
Group lessons (5–10 people)
Students at a similar level take the lesson together.
- The cost per person is lower.
- Watching others and learning together boosts motivation.
- Ideal for large families, school groups and corporate groups.
How to decide
- If you want to make a lot of progress in a short time, choose a private lesson.
- If you want to learn together with a large group, choose a group lesson.
- If your level is very different from the rest of your group, separate private lessons will be more efficient.
- If you’re staying for several days, lesson packages give you planned progress.
